Due to debut in September along with Kitaro’s newest album “Impressions of West Lake” ; a musical interpretation inspired by the ethereal Opera on Water performances at China’s West Lake, this hand selected barrel blend is a classical Pinot Noir with elegant aromas and tastes expressive of the native “terroir”. The art for the label is the same as his newest cd jacket of the performers dancing as if on top of the water itself. Quantities are extremely limited as each bottle is personally signed by Kitaro.

The story began nearly 14 or 15 years ago, while touring another custom crush winery (where Tom was employed prior to beginning the Maboroshi brand), Kitaro coincidentally met Tom. Talks of making a “Kitaro” wine at that time fell through. However, several years later, after Kitaro moved from his home deep in the Colorado mountains to Northern California’s Sebastopol, they would meet by chance again and the idea of making wine together became a reality.
