New Feature: New Age Music in Movies
NewAgeMusic.nu is still the New Age website for concert announcements, news articles, reviews on new and indie album releases, plus insightful interviews with talented musicians, and all of the exceptional music we have to offer our visitors. Coming soon is a segment of great music you won’t want to miss, being the New Age sub category of popular orchestra scores and soundtracks, all provided with viewable movie clips with the accompaniments that made them famous, offering you some memorable moments in film music history.
The orchestration score and soundtrack music is an integral part of movie making by having the potential to transform a good movie into a really great movie, and a great movie into a successful award wining movie, simply by adding the appropriate music to accompany the movie’s theme.
Time after time New Age music has provided the chemistry to accomplish the director’s objective in bringing out the full emotion and depth of the characters in a story line, and is great news that this sub category is becoming even more prevalent in newer releases.

Many if not all music genres have made some moments memorable at the theater, but some of the best and most recognized movie scenes have familiar New Age music artists providing accompaniment scores to set the tone of the movie.
This fine example to start with is the 4 time academy, Oscar award winning Chariots of Fire from 1981, with everyone’s old friend Vangelis, who won the academy award for original music score by the way.
You might recall the scene where British college students outfitted in white uniforms are confidently running in a group along the seashore while training for the 1924 Olympics. Vangelis seems to specialize in capturing these moments since many other popular movies had composer Vangelis at the helm. The music score is what made that movie and other scenes in our minds special.
The YouTube music video clip provided below is ready for your viewing enjoyment, and watch for other classic movie moments that will be posted every now and then so that you don’t miss anything here at newagemusic.nu.
